Official information request for information on the Victoria Business School
advisory board
I refer to your official information request dated 15 April 2019:
"I would like to know how people can express of (sic) their interest of becoming an
Advisory Board Membership-Victoria Business School (sic). Also, what is your
recruitment process of (sic) this position, selection requirements and the current
member's term of appointment. Please also provide the job description, payments
for this position."
Membership of the Victoria Business School Advisory Board is at the discretion of the Dean
of the Business School and the Chair of the Board. However, suggestions, nominations or
expressions of interest can be made to the Chair of the Advisory Board Dr. Peter Stevens,
or the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Commerce Professor Ian O. Williamson.
Formal invitations to new members are made by the Vice-Chancellor.
Victoria Business School desires to have diverse representation among Board members.
Members should be leaders who are representative of the communities served by VBS
and capture the social, demographic and ethnic diversity of those communities.
Members’ names are published on the VBS website and in other publicity material
produced by VBS.

There is no formal job description for members, both the Chairman and Pro Vice-
Chancellor and Dean of Commerce meet with board members to discuss the level of
