Transferring your request for information dated 14 May 2019
I refer to your request for information dated 14 May 2019, which was received by Greater
Wellington Regional Council on 14 May 2019. You have requested the following information:
“In the Dominion Post on 14 May 2019 it was reported that Transport Advisor, Marie
Verschuer met with some staff on the Let's Get Wellington Moving team, at the Wellington
Regional Council spoke.
Programme director Barry Mein is quoted as saying, in effect that Ms Verschuer was in town
so we invited her to have morning tea with the team.
Please provide the following information:
1 Correspondence between Lets Get Wellington Moving/Greater Wellington Regional Council
regarding the possibility of Ms Verschuer speaking with relevant staff or providing
consultancy services in relation to trackless trams.
2 The terms of any such arrangements for speaking/consultancy services, including whether
such arrangements had a financial element.
3 Any internal dialogue which foreshadowed the arrangements for Ms Verschuer to meet with
relevant staff
4 Any request communicated to Ms Verschuer regarding the presentation of 'trackless trams'
as a transportation option”.
Greater Wellington Regional Council is transferring your request to the New Zealand
Transport Agency (NZTA) pursuant to section 12 of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 on the basis that this information is believed by Greater

Wellington Regional Council to be more closely connected with the functions of Let’s Get
Wellington Moving.
Greater Wellington will provide any information it holds relevant to the request to the New
Zealand Transport Agency, to enable a coordinated response to you. Further correspondence
will therefore come to you directly from the Transport Agency. In this regard the 20 working
day time limit for providing you with a substantive response to this request will begin from the
day after NZTA receives this transfer.
