Thank you for your email of 05 June 2019, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Please advise the number of claims both covered and declined for Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome and
how many of these were work related, for the period between 2010 and present date.
Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome statistics
The table below shows the number of claims lodged with ACC, since 1 January 2010, for an injury
diagnosis of tarsal tunnel syndrome. Accredited employer claims have not been included as part of the
data search parameters. The data was extracted on 13 June 2019 and may differ if rerun at a later date.

We have used the value <4 where the claim count is less than four. This limits the potential for particular
individuals or matters specific to certain individuals being identified. Withholding in this way is

in making the information available and have determined that it does not outweigh the need to protect
the privacy of these individuals. This decision is made under section 9(2)(a) of the Act.
