Request all correspondence regarding the ministerial appointments of the board of
trustees members for 2019 to the Opononi area school board. This would include
applications, recommendations of applicants, all applicable electronic communications
and how the decision was made to appoint. Details of those who made the decisions
are also requested.
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
I am writing to advise you that the Ministry is transferring your request to the Minister of
Education Hon Chris Hipkins. This is done under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act, as we consider
your request is more closely associated with the functions of the Minister, rather than the
Ministry.
The Minister’s Office has been advised of this transfer and will acknowledge it to you, and wil
respond to you directly, in due course.
