Number of Fence repairs 
 
I refer to your request which we received on 7 July 2019, regarding the number of fence repair 
requests where the boundary belongs to Auckland council in the past year. 
 
In response to your request, we consulted with Auckland Council’s Community Facilities department 
to provide information relevant to your questions as below. 
 
How many fence repair requests have been received by the council where the property 
borders council owned land like a reserve? 
 
There have been 162 fence requests made to council since 1 July 2018 where the property borders 
council owned-land like a reserve. 
 
What is the average response time taken by maintenance coordinator to assess the request? 
 
Until May 2019 Community Facilities did not have a formal, consistent process for assessing fence 
repair requests.  
 
However, a new process was introduced on 30 May 2019 which aims to achieve those assessment 
timeframes to be within 21 working days. 
 
How many such requests have been received in the suburb of Glenfield? 
 
There were two requests received from Glenfield area since 1 July 2018.
