Official information request for correspondence received from Chinese Embassy and/or consular
officials or their representatives
I refer to your official information request dated 31 July 2019 asking for the below information.
“Al correspondence received by the Office of the Chancel or and/or Vice Chancel ors from Chinese
embassy and/consular officials, or their representatives, within the last 45 days which address the
protests in Hong Kong and related university events, as wel as memos and other written records of any
verbal or other representations on the matter”
The University has not received any correspondence relating to you request. On this basis, the University refuses
your request under section 18(e) of the Official Information Act (being, that the information requested does not
exist).
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about
