Re: Valuation References 
 
I refer to your email dated 21 August 2013, requesting information about valuation references. 
 
The information you have requested contains information that is held on the Ratings Information 
Database, the Complete Ratings Information Database and on the District Valuation roll.  Access 
to this information is governed by the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 and the Rating 
Valuations Act 1988, not the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA). 
 
We are refusing your request under section 17(e) of the LGOIMA as the information is publicly 
available on council’s website and at council offices.  If you require the information in list format, it 
is available for purchase.   
 
17. Refusal of requests  
A request made in accordance with section 10 of this Act may be refused only for one or more of the
