Official information request – FASS Masters Scholarships GPA cutoff for 2018 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 8 September 2019 asking for the fol owing information. 
 
“Please can you inform me of the GPA cut-off for the academic merit based FASS Masters Award in 
2018?” 
 
The information you have requested is below.   
 
The 2018 regulations of the FASS-funded Masters Awards (i.e. FASS 120-/240-point Masters Thesis Award and 
FASS 180-point Masters Awards) selection criteria states that a minimum grade average of B+ is expected. 
 
A minimum B+ equates to at least a GPA of 5.501 under the GPAs published by Universities New Zealand.
