Emma Cook
[FYI request #11267 email]
Tēnā koe Emma,
I am writing to you in regards to your email of 23 September 2019 to the Ministry of Education
requesting the following information:
“1. How many teacher aide support applications have been made by all Taupo
Primary Schools in the past 2 years?
1a. Please can you specify the amount of applications made by each school?
2. How many teacher aide support applications have been refused?
3. What reasons for refusals were given?”
On 30 September and 10 October 2019, we wrote to you for the reason that your request for
‘
how many teacher aid support applications’ is very broad in nature and scope and, as
currently worded, would likely be refused under section 18(f) of the Act, as the requested
information cannot be made available without substantial collation and research.
As we have several funding groups within the teacher aide support applications, we invited
you to contact with Dawid de Vil iers at (07) 5717828 or email at:
Dawid.deVil [email address], who would have been able to assist you with identifying
the specific application you are requesting and to clarify your request. To date there has been
no contact made by you.
I am refusing your request under section 18(f) of the Act, for the reason that the information
you are requesting cannot be made available without substantial collation and research.
Thank you again for your email. You have the right to ask an Ombudsman to review this
decision. You can do this by writing to
[email address] or Office of the
Ombudsman, PO Box 10152, Wellington 6143.
Nāku noa, nā
