Reporter Comments
Guards met crew on arrival and informed crew that there was a confirmed fire in
the laundry - possibly one of the machines. Smoke was visible from a vent through
a window coming from the room of origin. Access was made by the first crew
wearing BA with a HPD. Fire in a a drier was discovered and extinguished. A PPV
was used to ventilate the room. Main damage was to the drier itself and the whole
room had significant smoke damage. The sprinkler had activated but was not very
effective due to the location of the sprinkler head. The scene was left in the hands
of Fire Investigator Milne Maresca and the alarm agent and electrician was also on
sight.
