I refer to your email of 23 September 2019 to the NZ Transport Agency requesting the following 
information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
I would like to request a copy of all of the information as communicated between NZTA 
and Chris Bishop on the subject of the Melling Interchange project. 
 
On  26  September  2019,  the  Transport  Agency  wrote  to  you  and  asked  you  to  clarify  the 
timeframe to which your request related. On 1 October 2019 you confirmed that your request 
covered the period 1 January 2017 to present. 
 
The  information  that  falls  within  the  scope  of  your  request  is  attached  to  this  response  as 
Appendices A to F.  
 
Certain information has been withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Act in order to protect the 
privacy of natural persons. With regard to the withheld information I do not consider that there 
are any other factors that render it desirable, in the public interest, to make that information 
available. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review and investigate
