Pippa Coom
Chair,
Waitemata Local Board
Tēnā koe Pippa
The National Erebus Memorial project is making good headway, the six selected
design teams have now submitted their design proposals and the concepts have
been made public. I appreciate and would like to thank you for your support and
that of the Waitemata Local Board.
The next key milestone is the Design Selection Panel meeting on 12 and 13
March to assess the six proposals and select one design to recommend to the
Prime Minister. We plan to start our deliberations with a visit to the memorial site
at Dove-Myer Park. I would very much like the Panel to meet with yourself and a
couple of other key stakeholders at this site visit. To hear your views on the site
and the planned Memorial.
It would be great if you were able to attend this meeting:
12 March 9am – 10am at the National Erebus Memorial site
(overlooking Judges Bay) Dove Myer Robinson Park, Parnell.
Nāku noa, nā
