Re: OIA request – Estimated floor space of two hospitals owned by Waitematā District 
Health Board 
Thank you for your Official Information Act request received 13 December 2019 seeking 
information from Waitematā District Health Board (DHB) about an approximate estimate of our 
two hospitals’ floor space. 
In response to your request, we are able to provide the fol owing information: 
Could I please request if Waitematā District Health Board can provide an approximate 
estimate of hospital floor space in square metres of its two hospitals. A rough estimate will 
be fine. 
• North Shore Hospital gross floor area (GFA): 120,000sqm
• Waitakere Hospital GFA: 59,000sqm
