Key Datasets for Resilience - Initial Survey Results for Suburbs.pdf
Hi Matt
As a Wakefield resident, can I start by saying a big thank you to you and Craig for your support during the Pigeon
Valley Fire. I would be interested to hear about your experience during this time at some point.
Here’s a brief update on the key datasets for resilience survey:
ACT
A minimum of one central and one local government representative was asked to provide feedback on one
of the key datasets for resilience
25 reviewers were sent the survey, and there was 100% response rate
Some reviewers provided feedback on multiple datasets, and some had their colleagues provide additional
responses
UNDER
The top three datasets were elevation, buildings and roads, in terms of the number of additional responses
received
An initial summary of the results for suburbs is attached
Preliminary findings will be presented to NZGIS4EM on Wednesday this week
INFORMATION
The survey will be opened up to the wider NZGIS4EM community to provide additional feedback during
March
The Resilience Team will process the findings and work with the lead agencies during April to agree data
RELEASED
improvement plans
A meeting is being arranged for early June to bring together all lead agencies to review the past 12 months,
and to set commitments for the next 12 months. I’ll send you an invite to hold the date shortly.
OFFICIAL
Happy to have a follow up discussion if that would help?
Thanks, Susan
