Official Information Act Request 
 
I refer to your Official Information Act request received on 3 February 2020 in which you 
specifically requested the following: 
 
Pursuant to the Official Information Act 1982 please provide copies of all Asbestos Management 
Plans prepared under Regulation 13(2) of the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 
2016 for all workplaces occupied or from time to time occupied by the District Health Board 
where asbestos or ACM (Asbestos Containing Material) is suspected to be or has been identified 
at the workplace. 
 
Please see attached Southern DHB’s asbestos management plan.  
 
We also have a full asbestos management survey database, however this is all held online. If 
you have any specific areas of interest we can provide samples of information from this 
database.  
 
We are currently working through the areas which present operational issues and remediating 
on this basis.  
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review of our decision by the Ombudsman.  The
