Further to our correspondence and your OIA request asking:
‘What is the total remuneration package for the Vice Chancellor of Massey University? Please provide
(itemised separately) al payments including, but not limited to, salary and bonuses. If payments other than
salary are received by the Vice Chancel or, please indicate the criteria for such payments to be made.’
The State Services Commission information is made up (in part) of the fol owing components for the period
July 2018 to June 2019:
Total potential value of annual package (as agreed in terms & conditions)
Al benefits, including base salary, superannuation, performance pay, valuation for any $556,981
additional annual leave, etc.
Ful value of fixed pay
Including base salary, superannuation, other benefits, valuation for additional annual
$506,346
leave.
Ful potential value of performance pay
$50,635
Although the Vice-Chancel or was assessed positively and was entitled to performance pay, she declined to
receive this payment.
Council undertake an assessment of Vice-Chancel or performance against agreed expectations and focus areas.
Each of the focus areas has a relative weighting, performance for the year is assessed against those.
