Decision on Information Request
Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 3 March 2020. You requested the fol owing information:
• What arrangements have been made for sweeping?
• If arrangements have been made, when is the sweeping going to happen?
• If no arrangements exist, what arrangements are you planning on, and when precisely?
• Someone ticked a count of three crashes at the top of this sign. Has the council been advised
of any crashes happening on Wakely Track between 1 March 2019 and 1 March 2020? Please
provide details including but not limited to vehicle types, severity of injuries, and causes.
The Wellington City Council (the Council) has granted your request for information at no cost.
On 5 March 2020 the Transport and Infrastructure team has confirmed that the Wakely track was
swept on 4 March 2020.
The Council has had two incidents reported between 1 March 2019 – 1 March 2020. The Council
is not aware of any other incidents.
