Dear Aaron Rees,
Thank you for your email on 25 May 2020, requesting the fol owing information under the Official Information
Act 1982 (the OIA):
I would like to know the answers to the fol owing questions regarding 'Partner of a New
Zealander work visa' applications being processed at the Hamilton INZ branch:
- How many 'Partner of a New Zealander work visa' applications are currently pending (i.e.
yet to be allocated to a case manager)?
- The last application to be allocated to a case manager was submitted to INZ on what
date?
- How many applications were assigned to case managers in the months of March, April
and May 2020?
Any answers to these questions wil be greatly appreciated Visa type: Partner of a New
Zealander work visa
We have interpreted Part B of your request to be for the date the oldest unal ocated partnership work visa
application (where the partner is a NZ citizen/resident) was submitted to Immigration New Zealand (INZ), and
held in the INZ Hamilton Office.
Our response
Part A:
As at 8 June 2020, there were a total of 801 unal ocated partnership work visa applications (where the partner
is a NZ citizen/resident) pending al ocation in the INZ Hamilton office.
Part B:
As at 27 May 2020, the oldest unal ocated partnership work visa application in the INZ Hamilton office (where
the partner is a NZ citizen/resident), was submitted to INZ on 05 December 2019.
Part C:
Please see table below showing the number of partnership work visa applications (where the partner is a NZ
citizen/resident) in the INZ Hamilton office that were assigned to a case officer in March, April and May 2020:
