Request for information relating to complaints received about Jacob Williams
I refer to your email dated 27 March 2020 requesting the following information:
”Im seeing if you have had any complaints about Jacob Wil iams”.
We have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (
OIA).
To enable the detection of serious and complex fraud, bribery and corruption, the SFO relies on the
voluntary provision of information by members of the public. Accordingly, we do not disclose
information in relation to complaints received by our office.
We therefore refuse to provide the information requested pursuant to s6(c) of the OIA as making this
type of information available would be likely to prejudice the maintenance of law, including the
prevention, investigation and detection of offences and the right to a fair trial.
You are entitled to make a complaint about our decision to the Office of the Ombudsman. They can be
