2. Enrolment Policy:
Ngawini has handed out a copy of the policy to whanau. If there are any
concerns regarding this policy parents can make an appointment with Sean.
Every three years policies are reviewed, however should enough people wish
to change a policy then there are processes to follow that Sean can help with.
Jackie transitions the younger students to get them settled into school.
3: Points to discuss with Sean:
Enrolments from Years 1 – 6 to change to include Years 1 - 8 (Not attending
Kaipara College but Maori Immersion)
No transition from mainstream but going directly to the unit.
Teacher Aide for the unit: How could this be paid for to help support tamariki
as they are at various levels? That teacher aide could help transition those
new students.
4. Roll for 2013: Ngawini shared that 15 tamariki will be in the unit at the beginning
of 2013.
5. Whanau Resources:
Ngawini has found out there is funding for I Pads, Active Boards. Ngawini will
need to access the funding through the MOE.
Ngawini shared about her visit to Richmond Rd
6. Class Resources:
Ngawini is asking the whanau to have a day here helping organise the
resources. Date: Wednesday 23 January 2013.
