We have received your recent request for information under the Official Information Act 
1982 regarding the pedigree of various fruit cultivars. In your earlier email to our Chief 
Executive seeking details of where to send your request you gave a return address that 
is outside of New Zealand. Before proceeding further we should advise you that the 
Official Information Act conveys rights to information only to persons or entities that fall 
within one of the subsections of section 12 as set out below. In order that we may 
determine whether or not we are able to accept and consider your request under the 
Act, we respectfully request, in good faith, that you please let us know which of the 
following apply/ies to your circumstances and application under the Act:

(a) a New Zealand citizen; or
