Thank you for your email of 3 May 2020, requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the OIA): 
1:- Count of new EOIs received by MBIE for parent category since 24 Februrary 2020? If you can 
provide the count of persons that will be great too as 1 EOI can have more than 1 applicant.  
 
 2:- Count of EOIs submitted before 24 Feb 2020 and are still in the pool. If you can provide the 
count of persons that will be great too.  
 
 3:- Count of EOI's which have been withdrawn between 8th Oct 2019 and now. If you can provide 
the count of persons that will be great too. 
 
 
Our response 
 
Question 1 
Count of new EOIs received by MBIE for parent category since 24 Februrary 2020? If you can 
provide the count of persons that will be great too as 1 EOI can have more than 1 applicant. 
 
Between 24 February 2020 and 15 June 2020, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment 
(MBIE) has received 916 Expression of Interest (EOI) (totalling 1339 applicants) under the parent 
category.  
Question 2 
Count of EOIs submitted before 24 Feb 2020 and are still in the pool. If you can provide the count 
of persons that will be great too 
 
4107 EOIs (totalling 6754 applicants) under the parent  category that were  submitted before  24 
February 2020 are still in the pool. 
Questions 3 
Count of EOI's which have been withdrawn between 8th Oct 2019 and now. If you can provide the 
count of persons that will be great too 
 
Between 8 October 2019 to 15 June 2020, 1850 EOIs (totalling 3145 applicants) under the parent 
category have been withdrawn.
