Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 25 June 2020 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
Can LGWM please provide a copy of all correspondence it has had with KiwiRail for the past 
two years? 
 
Can LGWM please provide a copy of the attendance, agendas and meeting minutes/notes for 
all meetings that LGWM has had where KiwiRail was invited to attend for the past two years? 
 
Can LGWM please provide a copy of any reports, submissions or information request 
responses received from KiwiRail for the past two years? 
 
Please find attached six documents that are within the scope of your request for correspondence. 
Some information is withheld as detailed in the document schedule. Please note, KiwiRail are on the 
mailing list for LGWM newsletters. Copies of these newsletters are available online at lgwm.nz/lgwm-
news/category/newsletters/ 
 
With respect to the information that has been withheld, I do not consider there are any other factors 
which would render it desirable, in the public interest, to make the information available. 
 
Your requests for the attendance, agendas and meeting minutes/notes for all meetings that LGWM 
has had where KiwiRail was invited to attend for the past two years and for reports, submissions or 
information request responses received from KiwiRail for the past two years are refused under section 
18(e) of the Act as the documents requested do not exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, 
cannot be found. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to 
withhold information and refuse portions of this request. The contact details for the Ombudsman can
