Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 10 July 2020,
requesting information about mealtimes in remand units in New Zealand
prisons.
Corrections needs to extend the timeframe of our response to you by 20
working days in accordance with section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA, as the
consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original
time limit. You can expect to receive your response by 4 September 2020.

you have the right to ask an Ombudsman to investigate our decision to extend
