I refer to your request under the Official Information Act 1982, received on 28 July 2020, for the
following information:
I would like to have information about how many candidates applied for South Island
Contribution Work Visa and how many were successfully approved so far.
I would also like to know the number of candidates applied for South Island Resident Visa
and how many were approved.
Our response
As at 4 August 2020, 1,628 principle applicants have applied for a South Island Contribution work
visa and 1,103 have been approved.
926 principle applicants have applied for a South Island Contribution resident visa and 277 have
been approved. 1,706 secondary applicants are included in these residence applications and 489
secondary applicants have been approved.
