Official information request – copies of approved applications made to 
your Animal Ethics Committee regarding imported animals in 2018 
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) 
dated 9 September 2020: 
I would like to request a copy of the approved application(s) made to your Animal 
Ethics Committee on the use of the animals who were imported into NZ by your 
institute to be used for RTT purposes in 2018. 
Please find attached the information covered by your request. 
 
We have withheld some information under the following sections of the Act: 
•  9(2)(a) protect the privacy of natural persons. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this
