1. How many teachers, from all sectors have been accredited registration through the
Discretionary Pathway at the Teaching Council each year for the years 2010 - 2020.

2. How many of those teachers had to then reapply to the Teaching Council for an ECE
endorsement to be added to their registration/practising certificate, and when were these
endorsements issued?
Using the new process, promulgated in July 2020 and available at
https://www.teachingcouncil.nz/content/applying-review-receive-ece-or-primary-endorsement, 45
teachers have re-applied for a ECE endorsement.
Between July 2020 and October 2020, of those 45 applications, 27 teachers have had an ECE
endorsement approved, 18 have been declined.
