Thank you for your Official Information Act request to the Department of Conservation,
received on 22 October 2020 in which you asked for:

The Department of Conservation expenditure on Fire Control for the FY2019/20.
2.
The Department of Conservation’s fire suppression costs for attendance at fires which
originated on DOC land for the period FY2019/20.
3.
The Department of Conservation’s fire suppression costs for attendance at fires that
did not originate on DOC land for the period FY2019/20.
4.
A breakdown of the fire suppression costs that DOC recovered or intend to recover
from FENZ for the period FY2019/20.
Your questions and our responses are listed below.
The amounts stated are for the financial year ended 30 June 2020 and exclude GST.

The Department of Conservation expenditure on Fire Control for the FY2019/20.

As per our response to your OIA on these matters in 2019, this figure
is the gross fire control expenditure for the Department. You will note
in the response to question 4 below, that a proportion of this
expenditure has been or will be recovered from FENZ
