Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) on 29 October 2020 
for: 
 
“Please advise the scope of correspondence you have regarding Codex Alimentarius over 
the last 7 years, by amount per year.” 
Your request appears to be more closely associated with the functions and responsibilities of 
the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). The standard approach would be to transfer this 
request to MPI under section 14 of the Act. However, I understand you have made the same 
request to MPI. For this reason, a transfer of your request is no longer necessary. You can 
expect a response from MPI in due course. 
 
Under section 28(3) of the Act you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review any 
decisions made under this request.
