Dear N Joel
Official information request for information about the University’s
restorative justice staff
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act)
dated
17 November 2020:
“I would like to make a request under the OIA for information on the University's
Restorative Justice program - Diana Unwin Chair in Restorative Justice.
How many staff are employed by the University as part of the program, and
what is the role/job title of each of those staff?”
The Diana Unwin Chair in Restorative Justice currently consists of nine employees. The
roles are as follows:
• 1 x Professor
• 1 x Associate Professor (The Chair in Restorative Justice)
• 1 x Lecturer
• 1 x Senior Practice Consultant
• 4 x Research Fellows
• 1 x Administrator
These employees all engage in a combination of research, teaching, training and practice
development. The Chair also engages a number of Associate Practitioners on an
occasional contract-for-services basis, primarily for facilitation.
If you wish to discuss this decision with us, please feel free to contact me at
[VUW request email]. Yours sincerely
