Dear A Rohtmets
Official Information Act request relating to the New Zealand Government’s
involvement in specified activities
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 15 January
2021. You requested:
1. “Confirm & provided details of all information provided to ID2020 entity and
associated companies, charities and third party providers.

ID2020 entity and associated companies, charities and third party providers,
including but not limited to donations, membership costs, payment for policy
guidance.
3. Confirm and provide details of all agreements made with UN, WEF, IMF that
impact NZ Government policies, this includes but is not limited to historical,
current and agreements to be enacted in the next 10 years.
4. Confirm and provide details of any communication between the Reserve Bank,
Treasury, and any other government departments and external parties
regarding the removal/changes to our current financial markets and proposed

5. Information Request relating to the full nature and purpose and who will operate
and control the information held relating to the data centres to be built in the Nth
and Sth Islands.
6. Confirmation of when the Government plans to place the 3 waters under
'control' of a single entity.”
On 29 January 2021, I transferred questions three, four and six your request to the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), the Treasury and the Department of Internal Affairs, as
these questions are more closely connected to those respective agencies. I note question
three was transferred in part, in so far as it related to information held by MFAT.
The time frame for responding to your request was extended under section 15A of the Act by
20 working days because it necessitated consultations to be undertaken before a decision
could be made on your request. Following this extension, I am now in a position to respond.
In regard to questions one, two and five, I have decided to refuse these under section
18(g)(i), as I have identified no information held by the Department of the Prime Minister and
Cabinet (DPMC) relevant to your request, nor do I have reason to believe this information is
held by another government agency.

In terms of question three, as noted above, this part of your request was partially transferred
to MFAT. Upon review, I have determined this transfer captured all information relevant to
this part of your request, as MFAT holds information relevant to agreements made with those
organisations.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
This response will be published on DPMC’s website during our regular publication cycle.
Typically, information is released monthly, or as otherwise determined. Your personal
information including name and contact details will be removed for publication.
Yours sincerely
