Tēnā koe Scott
I refer to your email of 23 February 2021 in which you request the following under the Official
Information Act 1982 (OIA):
I request the number of strategic goods export permits granted to New Zealand
companies over the period 2018 to 2020, per country of the end user.
For clarity, I am looking for a response in this format:
Country of end user:⠀
# of permits granted 2018-2020:
Country A ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
X permits
Country B⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Y permits
And so on for every applicable country.
This letter is to advise that due to the necessity for further consultation, and because
responding to your request necessitates a search through a large volume of information, we
will need to extend the time limit for responding to you by 10 working days, to 8 April 2021
(including Easter holidays).
However, if this process is completed before 8 April 2021, the response will be sent to you as
soon as possible. If you have any questions, you can contact us by email at
[email address]. You have the right under section 28(3) of the OIA to seek a review of this response by the
Ombudsman.
