REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: OUR REFERENCE OIA 01-21-18135 

 
Thank you for your  email of 9  June  2021  requesting various copies of Police 
Instructions chapters. 
 
Specifically; 
  1.  Govt agency requests for assistance with search warrants and production 
orders 
2.  VIP Security Planning and Operations 
3.  Policing Parliamentary Precincts 
4.  Private Investigators requests to Police for assistance 
5.  Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators 
 
Including any other parts of the Police Manual or Police Instructions that relate to 
Private Investigators and Private Security Personnel, not captured by the above 
Your request has been considered in line with the Of icial Information Act 1982 
(OIA), and I can now provide the following response. 
 
Please find attached Policies one, four and five.  
Policy three namely Public Order Policing: Part 9 – Policing Parliamentary 
precincts is a publicly available document accessible here:

or defence of New Zealand of the international relations of the Government of 
New Zealand. Therefore, pursuant to Section 6(a) of the OIA this Policy is 
withheld in full.
