RE Official Information Act request CDHB 10584 
 
I refer to your email which was transferred from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment 
(MBIE) to the Ministry of Health on 16 March 2021 and which the Ministry of Health subsequently 
partially transferred to us on 7 April 2021 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act from Canterbury DHB. Specifically: 
 
1.  I wish to know the number of other workers, not employed by Hotels, but working in MIQFs who 
are currently earning below the Living Wage? 
 
There are 181 Canterbury DHB staff working in MIQFs and of this number 18 casual health service 
assistants on grade steps 1-3 (NZNO Health Care Assistants and Hospital Aides scale) and one driver are 
earning below the Living Wage of $22.10 per hour.
