Dear A Singh,
Thank you for your email of 21 March 2021 requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
OIA), the following information:
“1.Number of Skilled Migrant Category Resident Visa applications approved in last 5
years. Please provide the monthly break up starting from March 2021 and going
backwards for 60 months.
2. Government spending on direct and in-direct advertising to attract Skil ed Migrants in last
5 years. (Year wise break up)
3. Number of Resident Visa applications approved (all streams including SMC and RFW) in
last 5 years. Please provide the monthly break up starting from March 2021 and going
backwards for 60 months
4. Number of ITAs (Invitation to Apply) issued in last 5 years. Please provide the monthly
break up starting from March 2021 and going backwards for 60 months.
5. Residence visa targets as per NZRP vs Residence visa granted in last 5 years. Please
provide what was the target for that year and what was the achievement against that
target.
6. Skil ed Migrant Category Resident Visa processing time information as per INZ website in
last 5 years, which should include –
a)Skil ed Migrant Category Resident Visa processing time on INZ website as on 31st March
2016
b)Next date of processing time update on INZ website and what was the new updated
processing time.
c) And so on until the most recent update.”
I am writing to advise you that the Ministry will provide a response but needs to extend the time
available to answer your request. The Ministry’s response will be with you no later than 11 May 2021.
The reason for the extension relies on s15A(1)(b) of the OIA – consultations necessary to make a
decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request cannot be made within the
original time limit.
