Thank you for your OIA request dated 30 March 2021 to the Department of Internal Affairs 
(Department). You requested information about the Digital Child Exploitation Filter System 
and the Independent Reference Group.  
The Department is extending the deadline for responding to the above OIA request by 10 
working days, to 21 May 2021 under section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA. This extension is required 
because consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper 
response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
