Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 14 April 2021 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
I would like to request the images from the Waimakariri Bridge Traffic Camera between 
the times of 11pm and 11am on the night of the Monday 12th April 2021 - Tuesday 13th 
April. 
 
You then refined and clarified your request as follows: 
 
My vehicle was stolen between the previously mentioned hours and transported I believe 
on a trailer to the waimakariri river where it was stripped for parts and abandoned.

Registration of my vehicle was ANZ623, Grey 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser VX. 
 
Unfortunately, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has no CCTV cameras that captured footage of this 
incident. I am therefore refusing your request under section 18(g) of the Act as the information 
requested is not held by Waka Kotahi. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
