Caveats for the data:
- This data is does not reflect the number of "Citizenship Case Officers" employed by the
Department. It is a combination of those with that job title, and other staff who completed
some aspects of Citizenship work.
Released
- The sudden increase of FTE from July 2020 is due to a number of Passports trained staff
receiving training in some Citizenship tasks. This is because COVID-19 reduced Passport work
volumes, so those staff were utilised in other ways. There were also x2 Christchurch Counter
staff trained in CIT during the COVID response period.

Caveats for the data:
under
- ‘Processed’ means the application was finished being completely assessed by a case officer
and was sent to the Minister for their decision to grant or deny citizenship. It does not mean
the entire process was completed during the month or that the process began during the
month.
