Dear Ian,
Request for Information – Our Reference: IR-01-21-12637
Thank you for your request for information dated 19 April 2021 requesting
information about a call to Police. Specifically, you requested:
Please provide a recording or transcript for a call made from 0274351591
made on 16th January 2021.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the Official Information Act
1982 (OIA).
I can find no record of any cal being made to Police from the nominated phone
number on or around 16 January 2021. I am therefore refusing your request per
section 18(e) of the OIA as the “information requested does not exist or, despite
reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found”.
Per section 18B of the OIA, I have considered whether consulting with you
would assist you to make the request in a form that would remove the reason for
refusal. I am of the opinion that this would not.
If you are not satisfied with my response, you have the right under section 28(3) of
the OIA to make a complaint to the Ombudsman and seek an investigation and
review of the refusal.
Yours sincerely
Inspector Michael Coulter
