Thank you for your email of 29 April 2021 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities requesting the
following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Is the property at 144 Te Pêne Avenue, Titahi Bay, Porirua, owned by Kāinga Ora?
If the answer to #1 is yes, how long has Kainga Ora had ownership?
If the answer to #1 is yes, on what date was previous buildings on the site removed?
If the answer to #1 is yes, when does Kainga Ora plan to redevelop the site for residential use?
I can advise that Kāinga Ora owns the property at 144 Te Pêne Avenue, Titahi Bay, Porirua and has
done so since 1959. Previous buildings on the site were removed in 2013. The property is available to
our iwi partner, to explore redevelopment opportunities for social housing.
