Information Request – Air Desk Activity
I refer to your official information request dated 23 May 2021 in which you asked for the following
information related to the Air Desk for the period from 15th March to 15th May 2021:
1. By FENZ Region/Area, the number of incidents for which the request for an aircraft was
made via the Air Desk service?
2. The type or classification of the incident as assigned by FENZ (e.g. vegetation fire,
structural fire etc.)?
3. The number and type of aircraft the Air Desk responded to the incident; and
4. The total aircraft hours billed to FENZ for each of these incidents?
In accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 1982, the purpose of this letter is
to communicate my decision to release the information you have requested (so far as it is held by
Fire and Emergency) and provide you with part of the information requested. The balance of the
information Fire and Emergency holds will be provided in due course.
I
enclose a spreadsheet setting out the requested information Fire and Emergency has compiled to
date. The hours billed for the 23 incidents not already provided in the spreadsheet are still being
compiled. So far as it is held by Fire and Emergency, this information will be released once it has
been compiled.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
