Thank you for your email of 25 May 2021 requesting the following information: 
 
Please can you provide the number of Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities homes that 
have been assessed as passing Healthy Homes Standards.   
 
I have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982. 
 
I can advise you that as at 31 May 2021 a total of 11,345 Kāinga Ora homes have been assessed 
as meeting the Healthy Homes standards.  
 
Al  Kāinga Ora homes are required to meet the Healthy Homes Standards by July 2023. I am 
advised that many homes, particularly those that are newly-built, are estimated at this point to 
need only minimal interventions in order to bring them to standard, but are not captured in the 
above figure as they have not yet been officially assessed against the standards.
