Norm Whitfield
[FYI request #15683 email] Dear Norm
I refer to your request received on 5 June 2021, which has been considered under the
Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), for information regarding a removed page on the
Ministry’s website.
Please see below for an answer to each of your questions.
1) Confirmation of the date and time that the page was removed from your
website
Our system does not record the date and time the requested page was removed from
the website, but we believe it was sometime in May/June.
2) A copy of the page immediately before it was removed as well as a copy
of every previous version of the page that was available via your website
Attached is a copy of the page from our dev site which shows the content of the page
immediately before it was removed. While the information on the page states that it
was updated on 7 October 2019, we do not believe the page content has been updated
since the page was created on 14 June 2011. We believe the 7 October 2019 date
refers to an internal update of our website.
3) A copy of all correspondence and other information related to the
decision to remove the page, including correspondence received from
outside your ministry and any information or metadata stored in the
content management system used for your website
We do not hold any written documentation relating to the decision to remove the page,
including correspondence received from outside the Ministry or any information or
metadata stored in the content management system used for our website. I
understand this page was removed after a brief discussion between staff members
relating to the tidying up of older web content.
If you wish to discuss this decision with us, please feel free to contact
[Ministry for Culture and Heritage request email].
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this
decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
