Dear Matthew
I refer to your request dated 5 June 2021, pursuant to the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act), seeking:
“All information held by the Ministry of Transport about the incident on Auckland Harbour
Bridge on Sunday 30 May, prior to, during and after the incident. (This media report refers:

“In particular, I am interested in what advance warning the Ministry had of the incident, and
what actions were taken to encourage, deter, facilitate or prevent the incident. However,
please note that my request is broad, and includes all information as stated.”
The Ministry of Transport holds no information within the scope of this request. I am
therefore refusing your request under section 18(e) of the Act as the information does not
exist.
The Ministry publishes our Official Information Act responses and the information contained
in our reply to you will be published on the Ministry website. Before publishing we will
remove any personal or identifiable information.
Yours sincerely
