REQUEST FOR OFFICIAL INFORMATION –REFERENCE IR-01-21-17901
We refer to your correspondence dated 5th June 2021 requesting information held by
Police relating to:
• Under the OIA, I request al information held by Police about the incident on
Auckland Harbour Bridge on Sunday 30 May, prior to, during and after the
incident. (This media report refers: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/cycling-

• In particular, I am interested in what advance warning Police had of the incident,
and what actions were taken to encourage, deter, facilitate, prevent or manage
the incident. However, my request is broad and is not limited to these matters.
It does not include any information relating to the prosecution of any individual,
including any information that may be needed as evidence in the prosecution of
any individual.
You may be aware that under the Official Information Act 1982, we are required to
respond to your information request within 20 working days. This letter is to let you
know that we need to extend the time limit for responding to you (in accordance with
section 15A(1)(b) of the Official Information Act 1982).
You can expect a response by 06 August 2021. If you are not satisfied with our response
