Nursing strike - staff update - 8 June 2021 
Waikato DHB nurses, healthcare assistants and some midwives who are members of the 
NZNO will be striking tomorrow from 11am to 7pm. 
Parking – No parking onsite for striking nurses in all hospital campuses. Nurses who 
come to work in the morning and then go on to strike will need to move their cars from 
the carpark as they go on strike. The same for nurses on strike and then recommencing 
the remaining component of their shift at 7pm, cannot bring your car on site until the 
strike period is complete.
