Information Request – Lake Pukaki fire 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 9 June 2021 asking for the following information: 
 
1.  A breakdown of the costs incurred by FENZ in control ing and extinguishing this fire. 
 
2.  A copy of all of the Incident Action Plans (IAPs) prepared by the IMT for the first 3 days 
and nights of this fire. 
 
Your request is being assessed in accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 
1982.  This requires us to advise you of our decision no later than 20 working days after the date 
received.  Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit.  We are therefore writing 
to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 21 July 2021.  The reason for the 
extension is that consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a 
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
 
We will respond to your request at the earliest opportunity. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
