I refer to your official information request dated 12 June 2021 asking for the following

1. FENZ Full Current Fleet Information (Summarising of callsigns, year, make, model, location)
2. Type 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Appliance Build and Cascade Information
3. Current Type 3 Project Information with regards to proposed builds with Scania and
Emergency One group
4. Command/Hazmat Unit Appliance Build and Cascade Information
5. Miscellaneous Vans, Utes and Executive Vehicles Cascade Information
6. All Marine based resources FENZ currently own or have access to (E.g: Rescue Boats,
Jetskis, Watercraft)
7. List of all Fire Stations, and their locations built from 2017 to present, which includes final
cost of each station.

3. Current Type 3 Project Information with regards to proposed builds with Scania and
Emergency One group
The Type 3 Appliance Acquisition Project has concluded the selection of manufacturers to be on
the panel to supply the next generation Type 3 appliances. Negotiations are underway with two
companies to build two trial appliances each (Pump and Pump Rescue Tender). The next steps of
the process are to turn the suppliers’ proposals into a full specification, confirm the contractual
terms, and agree the build schedule and milestones.
4. Command/Hazmat Unit Appliance Build and Cascade Information
There are no Command/Hazmat Unit appliances currently being built. We do have a plan to
relocate some of the existing Hazmat/Command Units, specifically:

There is currently no cascade plan for miscellaneous vans, utes, and executive vehicles. This part of
your request is therefore declined under section 18(e) of the Act as the information requested
does not exist.

enclose the information you requested. Station builds are project-based, and these costs are
inclusive of the whole project cost which typically includes land preparation costs; fire station
construction costs including fittings, fixtures, contractors margin; professional fees including
design, structural and planning; and consent fees and development levies.
In July 2020, the government announced more than $50 million from the Government’s COVID
Response Recovery Fund for the rebuild and upgrade of 26 fire stations. On the attached list,
Pokeno Station received money from this fund.
