Thank you for your email of 17 June 2021 requesting: 
1.  “the number of complaints that have been lodged against Dr Alan Farnell in 
the last 10 years (since 2011), and; 
2.  if he was censured or had any restrictions imposed on his license at any time 
in the last 15 years (2006) the documents showing the outcomes with private 
information about the complainant redacted. I'm just looking for the outcome 
on Dr Farnell.” 
I have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982.

Please note that that the information you have requested is the private information 
of Dr Farnell.  I have withheld the information you have requested pursuant to section 
9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act to protect his privacy. 
In  relation to the  information  withheld,  I  am  of the  view that  the  reasons  outlined 
above  are  not  outweighed  by  other  considerations  that  render  it  desirable,  in  the 
public interest, to make this information available.
