Request for information 2014/050
I refer to your request for information dated 31 March 2014, which was received by Greater
Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) on 31 March 2014. You have requested the following
information:
“
Could I please receive a copy of any paper, report, file note or memorandum produced within the
last 12 months that support the Team Leader’s statement route 14 ‘has been identified as a route to
review’?
Could I also please receive copies of any paper, report, file note or memorandum produced in the
same period with respect to the actual review of route 14 itself?”
GWRC’s response follows.
GWRC has an established convention of reviewing bus routes periodically and as a result of this
process, route 14 falls within the next group of bus routes to review. No paper, report, file note or
memorandum has been produced to support the Service Design Team Leader’s statement that route
14 ‘has been identified as a route to review’, nor has anything been produced in respect to the actual
review of route 14 itself. Your request for this information is therefore being refused under section
17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (the Act) on the basis
that the information requested does not exist.
No date has yet been set for the review of route 14, as this is pending the completion of existing
reviews and the subsequent availability of resources to undertake the review.
If you have any concerns with the decision(s) referred to in this letter, you have the right to request
an investigation and review by the Ombudsman under section 27(3) of the Act.
